This 90MW coal/oil kiln burner was installed with the aim of increasing production of the existing line from 5500 t/d to 6500 t/d, which corresponds to the maximum capacity of the kiln.
The Pillard NOVAFLAM? Evolution+ type kiln burner was found to be easy to use and with a stable operation, meeting all of the customer's expectations. The desired clinker production was met and the burner maintained a high momentum even with 6-7% primary air. It also allowed a reduction in NOx emissions thanks to the increased coal/conveying air concentration and a reduction in the specific consumption of the kiln.
