New Tapping Cranes for a Canadian customer
In order to increase the availability of the existing Pot Tending Machines (PTM), mainly for anode change operations, 天博体育 will provide two new Tapping & Miscellaneous Assemblies (TMA), which main function is the tapping of molten aluminium from electrolysis cells, thereby making them simpler in terms of operation and maintenance
The customer had the choice between acquiring a new PTM, two TMA or having the tapping function carried out by dedicated vehicles. Extensive discussions and close collaboration with the client to carry out a detailed study of the different scenarios resulted in the selection of the most flexible solution, particularly in the perspective of future amperage increase or pot replacement, while maximising the availability of the PTM.
The commitment and availability of the teams to support the client in optimising its operations were decisive factors in this success.
